Here’s what TryOn Live uses, where it goes, and what you control.

Press Stop or close the fitting-room window. Minimizing the window does not stop the camera or streaming.
TryOn Live is a Chrome extension created by Karan Sethi. It adds a floating fitting room to shopping websites and uses Decart’s real-time AI service to preview clothing on a live camera feed. This policy describes the supplied version 0.4.1 and this accompanying website.
The extension does not require a separate TryOn Live account. You connect a Decart API key, or optionally a token endpoint that you configure. The data practices of Decart, your chosen endpoint operator, and the websites you visit also apply to their respective services.
With camera permission, the extension captures video and streams it to Decart to produce the try-on. The extension requests video only; microphone capture is disabled. Video may include your face, body, surroundings, and anyone else visible to the camera.
When you drop a product image, choose an image through the right-click menu, or drop a local image file, the extension loads it, converts it to PNG at up to 1,024 pixels on the longest side, and sends it to Decart with an instruction describing the clothing replacement. Loading a product image URL also makes a request to that image’s host.
Your API key and optional token endpoint URL are saved in chrome.storage.local. The key is used by the Decart client to authenticate requests. If you configure a token endpoint, the extension sends a POST request to it to obtain a client credential. Local browser storage is not a dedicated encrypted credential vault.
The extension saves the fitting-room position and dimensions, plus your Fill/Fit video preference, in local extension storage so they can be restored.
A selected garment URL or image data URL and a timestamp are temporarily placed in chrome.storage.session to pass the image into the fitting room. A valid pending item is removed when consumed. Current garment data is held in memory while the fitting room is open.
When you choose Save snapshot, the extension creates a PNG from the displayed video and downloads it to your device. The reviewed extension does not implement a separate snapshot-upload service. You control the downloaded file and any sharing or backup of it.
The reviewed extension code does not implement advertising trackers, a browsing-history collection service, or a developer-operated database of your camera sessions. This does not describe or limit processing performed by third-party service providers.
Decart receives the live camera stream and selected garment image to perform virtual try-on. API credentials authenticate that service. Decart controls its service-side processing, logging, retention, and any use under its applicable terms and privacy policy.
We have not independently verified Decart’s current retention periods, training practices, or deletion procedures. This policy does not promise that Decart retains no data or uses no data for training. Review the applicable policies in your Decart account ↗ before starting a session, and direct requests about data held by Decart to Decart.
If you set an advanced token endpoint, that endpoint’s operator may process network and authentication requests under its own policy. Product-image hosts may receive ordinary connection information, such as your IP address, when the extension fetches an image.
You can review and restrict site access and camera permissions in Chrome. Restricting access may prevent parts of TryOn Live from working.
The extension does not currently provide a dedicated in-app “clear all data” control. Stopping a session ends streaming; it does not erase files you downloaded or data a third party may already hold.
The website’s interactive showcase is an illustration. It does not request camera access, run an AI try-on, collect an API key, or upload an image. The website code does not add analytics, advertising scripts, or marketing cookies.
This site uses fonts available on your device; it does not request fonts from a third-party font service. AI-created campaign artwork, editorial photography, and extension downloads are served with the website’s static assets. Site hosting and any ChatGPT access gate may process connection information and authentication data under their own policies, including OpenAI’s privacy policy ↗.
When you email support, the information you choose to include is received through the support email service and used to respond to your request. Please do not send your API key, camera recordings, or other sensitive content unless it is necessary and you intend to share it.
